Lithuanian Sports University (LSU), founded in 1934, is a private state higher education institution that serves with traditions based on the principle of continuous development among sports and health sciences. The history of LSU dates back to 1934 and serves as an independent institute for the first time in 1945. It received its present name in 2012.
It is known as a leading academic and research center in sports sciences in the Baltic Region. LSU is now a university with over 2000 students.
LSU is present in 19 different education programs at the undergraduate, graduate and doctorate levels, focusing especially on sports, where studies, research and practices are interconnected. LSU graduates include a variety of outstanding scientists, world-renowned coaches and famous athletes.
